Here is a display of all my work which has been mounted, starting from stationary, then tags, clothing and finally accessories.

Chosen design

I knew that i wanted one accessory to be typographic, so for my final accessory design i looked back at my previous typographic drawings for my clothing, and found this design that i never ended up using for my t-shirt design. 

 

Development

I then drew out the design again, this time taking more care with the drawing and going over the design with a fine liner, as this is the drawing i will be scanning in.

Initial design

 

I opened my drawing into illustrator and used the live trace tool, and finished the design off my making small refinements.

Final design

 i  brought my final design over to photoshop, i chose to use the templates for a laptop and a pencil case, because these two items are landscape so the design fits well onto them.

Thumbnails

With having chose my quote i moved on to sketching a couple of thumbnails, just  to put down some of my ideas onto paper.

Drawings

I chose to draw out these to designs as they were my favourites from the thumbnails, adding in more detail to both designs so that i can see which one i would like to use as my final design.

Initial Design

I liked the second drawing the best because the design itself was more interesting and i liked the way the lined flowed with the word 'Reality'. Then i had scanned my drawing into illustrator and built my design using the pen tool, line tool and a variety of typefaces. 

Final Design

 With my design finished i placed it onto the wall art template, i had an idea that the way the design is structured it would fit perfectly on the iphone case template, and here are the finished results.

Quick sketches

I had an idea of basing my hat design around triangles, so i started off drawing out a few drawings of ideas that i had for my hat design. 

Development

From the drawings i chose that the winded diamond design was my favourite. I drew out the design again adding in a few improvements such as spacing the triangles apart more. and making the wings more defined and increasing the size. Then i did the same thing but finished the drawing off with fine liner.

Initial Design

I took my fine lined drawing and scanned it into illustrator where i refined the drawing and made sure the everything was symmetrical, especially the triangles. 

Final Design

I brought my final design onto the two template for a cap and beanie, so i could see how the design would look on more then one item.

Design I made before 

 

 

My trangle design I had created in a past assignment which I liked, and thought it would be good to use this shape in one of my designs.

I took a image of a beautiful perth sunset and manipulated the image to created these two outcomes.

I decided to use the larger design with the boarder for the jumper as that is a larger design, and the other for the t-shirt design.

Thumbnails

 

 

Some quick thumbnails to get some ideas flowing. I knew that I wanted to make this design more image based and have perth as the main focus for the images.

I had more of an idea what to do with the painted drawing oppose to the circled design so I looked at how the design would look painted.

 

Second Painting

 

 

 

I drew out and painted the design again this time taking more care as this is the painting I will be scanning in.

 

Refined Painting

 

 

I then used photoshop to the clear the background and enhance the colours slightly.

 

 

Final design

 

 

I Couldn't choose between the design being colourful or just plain black so I decided to merge the two together creating this end result.

Chosen design

This is the design which I chose from my previous drawings.

Development

I drew out the design again and went over it with a fine liner so it would be easier to scan the drawing into illustrator.

Refining

After scanning in my drawing I used the pen tool to draw out my design, making a few changes such as the spacing between the words, and I coloured the Perth in like I had in my first sketch.

 

Final design

I put my final refined design onto the vest template.
